DeGarmo Estates is a beautifully landscaped and maintained community located in Coconut Grove, The community of 10 homes was master planned by Luciano Cacciamani.
DeGarmo Estates Home Owners Association, Inc. (DEHOA) is the association that governs and maintains the business, affairs, and property that contribute to the overall ambience and property values of DeGarmo Estates. They maintain the main roads, oversee the gate operations, and maintain the landscaping around the beautiful gated entrances.
DEHOA is governed by a Board of Directors, who are residents elected by the voting members. The Board of Directors is given its power through the community documents, which include the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions, the Articles of Incorporation, and the By Laws. These documents give the Board the power to adopt, amend, and repeal policies and procedures as it deems necessary.
Since the Board cannot address every issue of interest to the residents of DeGarmo Estates it will established committees to assist in the management of various responsibilities or to carry out specific tasks as assigned.
DEHOA is a not for profit association with an annual budget. Revenue is collected through assessments charged the residents. Every year a budget is established for the next year to cover the projected expenses involved in, maintaining and insuring the commonly owned landscaped areas, gates, administrative functions. Reserves are established for the replacement of the association owned infrastructure, such as the road, gates and landscaping. The assessment amount charged per residence may be adjusted annually based on budget projections.
